Man dies after two alarm house fire in Pikesville

BALTIMORE — Baltimore County Fire Department is working to put out a two-alarm residential fire that sparked Wednesday night.
Crews arrived on the scene at the 500 block of Shamrock Lane to find the fire coming from the home. 
Firefighters entered the home to search for a resident
Inside, crews found Thomas Poe, 76, of Pikesville, suffering from cardiac arrest in a second floor bedroom.  Firefighters removed him from the home and began resuscitating him.  Poe was taken to Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  
A female occupant of the home was able to escape the fire without injury. 
Baltimore County Police Department fire investigators have ruled the fire accidental by electrical malfunction.
